At what stage is your community?
We are forming. We are promoting our group, designing our homes, and milling the lumber the build said homes.

Who can join?
We are an inclusive community of individuals and families. Anyone who wishes to join the community must go through a formal membershipping process.

What type of community are you?
We will be a mixed Cooperative and Cohousing (Eco-Village) community. This means we will be building a central house for 12 to 15 residents as well as selling small lots for individual dwellings.

How did/will you finance?
Our land purchase was financed by current members of the group with a few personal loans. Individuals will be responsible for financing the construction of there own homes; however, we also have a rental house connected to the property for those who wish to become involved but are not ready to build or finance building.

When do you hope to start building?
We hope to begin construction in the Spring of 2011.

Bloomington, Indiana

Are you Urban, Semi-Rural, or Rural?
We are an Urban community 1.25 miles from city hall; however, our land feels as though you are in the country.

Type of transportation?
We are a bicycle community and thus restrict car ownership to only commonly held cars. A car coop will be set up with a car and a truck for those interested in co-owning a vehicle.
